Design Guidelines: Seattle Out & Proud has announced the 2014 Pride Theme "Generations of Pride", in honor of the 40th anniversary of Seattle's LGBTQ Pride celebration. The theme and focus for 2014 honors the history of the LGBTQ pride movement and highlights the ongoing struggle for equality in Seattle and around the world. There are many recent successes for the LGBTQ movement to celebrate and look forward to for future generations, and those successes could not have been achieved without the pioneering activists who carried the movement on their shoulders from the beginning. Entries are not required to incorporate the theme; however, artists are encouraged to consider using the theme for inspiration in their design.
Deadline for artists:
Entries may be submitted beginning Monday, March 24, 2014. You must submit your design by 11:59pm, Friday, May 9, 2014.
Prize:
One winner will be selected to win the prize of $250.00 cash (compliments of Choke Shirt Company); (5) complimentary t-shirts with your design on it (for you, your family and friends); a VIP-Seattle Pride Parade Experience, including (2) VIP Parade viewing tickets, (2) Pride Brunch tickets and a SO&P Ampersand tote filled with swag.
